The Economy of Dairi Regency in 2021 Increased by 2.05 Percent

Abstract

The economy of Dairi Regency in 2021 will increase by 2.05 percent. An increase compared to 2020 which experienced a contraction of -0.94 percent.

Based on the production approach, the business sector with the highest growth was achieved by the information and communication business sector at 4.44 percent, followed by the wholesale and retail trade sector; Car and Motorcycle repairs amounted to 4.21 percent, as well as electricity and gas procurement business fields by 3.83 percent.

Three business fields that give a dominant role to Dairi Regency's GRDP according to business fields in 2021 are: Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries business fields by 42.87 percent; wholesale and retail trade; Car and Motorcycle Repair by 17.55 percent; and the Construction business field by 13.53 percent. When viewed from the expenditure approach, the growth for the Household Consumption Expenditure component was 1.93 percent, followed by the Gross Fixed Capital Formation component of 1.29 percent. Meanwhile, the consumption component of LNPRT is 0.12 percent.

Based on the expenditure side, the Household Consumption Expenditure component gave the largest contribution, amounting to 55.57 percent; following the component of gross fixed capital formation of 27.35 percent; and component of government consumption by 2.38 percent.

In nominal terms, the GRDP of Dairi Regency in 2021 at the current price reaches Rp. 9,710.80 billion and the GRDP of Dairi Regency in 2021 at constant prices reaches Rp. 6,641.67 billion.
