Dairi Regency Poor Population in 2018 is 8,20 percent

Abstract

In 2018 there were 8.20 percent of the poor population (residents with per capita expenditure per month below the poverty line) in Dairi District. This percentage has decreased when compared to the percentage of poor people in 2017 which reached 8.87 percent.

The poverty line in Dairi Regency increased from Rp. 310,836 per capita per month in 2017 to Rp.325,176 per capita per month in 2018.

The average expenditure gap of each poor population against the poverty line (P1) in Dairi District has increased from 1.03 in 2017 to 1.77 in 2018. This indicates that the average expenditure of the poor tends to move further away from the line poverty in 2018 when compared to 2017.

Judging from the distribution of expenditure among the poor, the disparity in expenditure among the poor (P2) in Dairi Regency has also increased from 0.19 in 2017 to 0.54 in 2018. It can be said that the disparity in expenditure among the poor in Dairi Regency in 2018 tends to increase when compared to 2017.
