Abstract

Dairi Regency's economy in 2019 compared to the previous year grew by 4.82 percent. Based on the production approach, the highest growth was achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing business sector by 7.24 percent; followed by Other Services business field by 6.79 percent then Information and Communication business field by 6.75 percent.
Under the expenditure approach, the expenditure component of the Non-Profit Institution serving Households (LNPRT) achieved the highest growth of 9.18 percent, followed by the Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) component of 6.44 percent, and the Household expenditure component of 4.33 percent.
In accordance with the conditions of the majority of Dairi Regency farming community, agriculture, forestry and fishery business fields are the biggest contributors to the Dairi Regency GRDP. Three business fields that gave a dominant role to the Dairi Regency GRDP in 2019 were: agriculture, forestry and fisheries by 42.28 percent, wholesale trade and retail; car and motorcycle repairs by 17.21 percent and construction by 13.91 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the component of household consumption expenditure (PKRT) gave the largest contribution of 56.34 percent, followed by the gross fixed capital formation (PMTB) component of 27.86 percent.
Dairi Regency GRDP in 2019 based on current prices reached 9,166.42 billion and GRDP at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 6,569.81 billion.
