Number of North Sumatra Tourists August 2018 amounting to 23,430 Visits

·         The number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in August 2018 reached 23,430 visits. An increase of 8.10 percent compared to those coming in July 2018 reached 21,675 visits. When compared with the same month in 2017, the number of foreign tourists in August 2018 fell by 13.76 percent, from 27,169 visits in August 2017 to 23,430 visits.

·         In August 2018, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 13,044 visits or 55.67 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting in North Sumatra.

·         Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in North Sumatra in August 2018 reached an average of 35.07 percent, down 10.27 points compared to July 2018 at 45.34 percent.

·         The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in August 2018 reaches 1.22 days, down 0.25 points compared to July 2018.

·         The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra through Kualanamu International Airport during August 2018 reached 317,360 people, down 12.22 percent compared to July 2018 which reached 361,523 people.

·         The number of passengers traveling between islands (domestic) who departed in August 2018 was 3,756 people, down -68.70 percent compared to the previous month as many as 12,001 people.
