Abstract

Dairi Regency's HDI in 2021 is 71.84 or grew 0.54 percent (an increase of 0.40 points) compared to the previous year. The growth of the HDI in 2021 is strongly influenced by the increase in each of the components that make up the HDI.

The first indicator is the adjusted average per capita expenditure. This indicator has increased from 10.35 million rupiah in 2020 to 10.50 million rupiah in 2021.

In terms of education, in 2021 children aged 7 years have the hope of enjoying 13.11 years of education or almost the equivalent of the length of time to complete education up to Diploma II level. This figure increased by 0.01 years compared to the previous year which reached 13.10 years. In addition, the average length of schooling for residents aged 25 years and over is still increasing by 0.01 years, from 9.58 years in 2020 to 9.59 years in 2021.

In terms of health, babies born in 2021 have an expectation of being able to live up to 69.19 years, 0.19 years longer than those born in the previous year.
