Abstract

The Dairi economy in 2020 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) at the current price reaches Rp. 9,317.91 billion or Rp. 32,639.34 million per capita.

The Dairi economy in 2020 contracted 0.94 percent compared to the 2019 achievement of 4.82 percent. Based on the production approach, the construction business sector experienced the deepest contraction of 4.98 percent. Meanwhile, the Information and Communication business sector experienced the highest growth of 7.15 percent. Based on the expenditure approach, the highest contraction was experienced by the Consumption Component for Non-Profit Institutions serving Households (LNPRT) amounting to 5.99 percent. In accordance with the condition of the people of Dairi Regency who are mostly farming, agricultural, forestry and fishery business fields are the biggest contributors to the PDRB of Dairi Regency. Three business fields that give a dominant role to the PDRB of Dairi Regency in 2019, namely: agriculture, forestry and fisheries amounting to 42.71 percent, wholesale and retail trade; repair of cars and motorbikes by 17.22 percent, and construction by 13.42 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the component of household consumption expenditure (PKRT) gave the largest contribution, amounting to 55.86 percent, followed by the gross fixed capital formation component (PMTB) of 27.66 percent.

Nominally, the PDRB of Dairi Regency in 2020 at the current price reached 9,317.91 billion and the GRDP at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 6,508.05 billion.
