• In September 2019, the Sumatera Utara Province NTP (2012 = 100) was recorded at 97.34, up 0.53 percent compared to the August 2019 NTP which was 96.83.
• The increase in the FTT in September 2019 was caused by the increase in the FTT of the Food Plants subsector by 0.71 percent, the FTT of the Horticulture subsector by 0.34 percent, the FTT of the Farmers Plantation Sub-sector by 0.72 percent, and the FTT of the Livestock Subsector by 0.25 percent. While the Fisheries Subsector NTP fell by 0.55 percent.
• Changes in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflect the rural inflation / deflation rate. In September 2019, rural deflation occurred in Sumatera Utara by 1.04 percent. This was caused by the decrease in three household consumption indexes, namely the foodstuffs index by 2.36 percent, the clothing group index by 0.07 percent, and the education, recreation and sports group index by 0.02 percent. While the index of the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group increased by 0.13 percent, the housing group index rose by 0.10 percent, the health group index rose by 0.02 percent, and the transportation and communication group index rose by 0.03 percent .
• Sumatera Utara Province Agricultural Exchange (NTUP) in September 2019 amounted to 106.65 or decreased by 0.36 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
