Growth of Manufacturing Industry Production Large Medium North Sumatra Province Quarter I-2019 fell by 3.91 percent (y-on-y)

Abstract

The growth in production of the Large and Medium Manufacturing Industries of North Sumatra Province in the first quarter of 2019 fell by 3.91 percent compared to the same period in 2018 (y-on-y). This decline was mainly due to the decline in the production of tobacco processing industry by 35.37 percent, the pharmaceutical industry, chemical drug products and traditional medicine by 16.85 percent, the food industry by 12.67 percent and the chemical industry and goods from chemicals by 6 61 percent.
