Abstract

In July 2018, Sumatera Utara NTP Province (2012 = 100) was recorded at 97.67 or down 0.53 percent compared to NTP June 2018 of 98.19.

The decrease of NTP July 2018 was caused by the decrease of NTP Subsector of Smallholder Plantation by 2.64 percent, and NTP fishery sub-sector by 0.54 percent. While NTP Food Crops subsector rose by 0.96 percent, NTP Horticulture Subsector rose by 0.66 percent, and NTP Livestock Subsector rose by 0.36 percent.

Changes in Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflect the rate of rural inflation / deflation. In July 2018, there was a rural inflation in Sumatera Utara of 0.50 percent. This was due to the rise in Household consumption index, which was the foodstuff index of 0.73 percent, the index of the finished food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.46 percent, the housing group index by 0.10 percent, the health group index 0.12 percent, education, recreation and sports group index of 0.65 percent, and the transportation and communication group index of 0.37 percent. While the clothing group index fell by 0.03 percent.

Agricultural Household Trade Rate (NTUP) of Sumatera Utara Province in July 2018 was 106.39 or decreased 0.32 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
