Abstract
• In February 2018, North Sumatra NTP Province (2012 = 100) was recorded at 97.89 or down 0.28 percent compared to NTP of January 2018 of 98.17.
• The decrease of NTP February 2018 was caused by the decrease of NTP of Food Crop sub-sector by 1,16 percent, NTP of Horticulture Sub-sector by 1.01 percent, and NTP of Livestock Subsector by 0.52 percent. While NTP subsector of Plantation Plantation increased by 0.74 percent, and NTP fisheries sub-sector rose by 0.89 percent.
• Changes in Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflect the rate of rural inflation / deflation. In February 2018, there was a rural deflation in North Sumatra of 0.01 percent. This is caused by the decline of the foodstuff index by 0.37 percent. While the six indices of household consumption group rose, namely the index of food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group by 0.10 percent, housing group index by 0.39 percent, clothing index by 0.45 percent, health group index of 0, 67 percent, the education, recreation and sports group index of 0.72 percent, and the transportation and communication group index of 0.15 percent.
• Agricultural Household Trade Rate (NTUP) of North Sumatera Province of February 2018 was 106.66 or decreased 0.40 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
