Exports of Sumatera Utara in October 2017 increased by 1.41 percent

Abstract

- Export value through loading port in Sumatera Utara region in October 2017 increased from September 2017 from US $ 779.43 million to US $ 790.40 million or increased by 1.41 percent. Similarly, when compared with October 2016, Sumatera Utara exports increased 4.70 percent.
- The largest increase of export value of Sumatera Utara in October 2017 to September 2017 occurred on various chemical products (HS 38) of US $ 17.80 million (25.32%) followed by tobacco group (HS 24) of US $ 10.67 million (46, 88%) and rubber and rubber goods (HS 40) of US $ 9.66 million (8.21%).
- Exports to China in October 2017 was the biggest figure of US $ 142.20 million, followed by the United States of US $ 100.83 million and India with US $ 50.41 million with contribution of 37.12 percent.
- According to the destination country group in October 2017, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US $ 290.83 million (36.79 percent).
