Strengthening One Data: BPS and Kominfo Join Forces in Sectoral Statistics

The Sectoral Statistics Development Roadshow (ROBUSTA) continues across Dairi Regency, running from March 25 to May 9, 2025! Five Sectoral Statistics Development (PSS) teams from BPS Dairi Regency are actively visiting various Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs) as part of an ongoing commitment to enhance statistical literacy at the local government level.

Following previous activities in February—including data list identification assistance and the first round of training focused on statistical activities and the introduction of Indonesia’s One Data policy—the program has now entered its second and third series.

In Series 2, OPDs receive in-depth training on statistical business processes using the GSBPM framework, the importance of data quality through Quality Gates, and recommendations presented through demonstrations of BPS’s ROMANTIK application.

Series 3 emphasizes the strategic role of OPDs within the National Statistical System, both as data producers and as supporting data custodians (walidata). It also covers institutional aspects of statistics in Indonesia, laying the groundwork for strengthening sectoral statistical governance.

This week’s development sessions featured the active involvement of the Dairi Regency Communication and Informatics Office (Kominfo), acting as the official Walidata in the regional One Data Indonesia forum. Their participation aims to oversee the coordination process and strengthen collaboration among OPDs to ensure data integration and improve data quality. The synergy between BPS as the statistical coach and Kominfo as the regional data custodian is a key step toward effective and sustainable data governance.

Through the ROBUSTA series, BPS Dairi hopes to continue improving statistical literacy in local government—because good governance begins with high-quality data and reliable statistics.
