Kickoff of Sectoral Statistics Development

On February 6, 2025, BPS Dairi, together with the Sectoral Statistics Walidata, attended the Kickoff of Sectoral Statistics Development (held virtually) at the Office of the Regional Secretary of Dairi Regency. The event was attended by the Head of BPS Dairi, Joel Roy Perangin-angin, the Head of the Department of Communication and Informatics, the Head of the Department of Transportation, as well as teams from other regional government agencies (OPD). This event was also conducted virtually and participated in by all local governments and ministries/agencies across Indonesia.

On this occasion, a speaker from BPS Headquarters provided an overview of sectoral statistics and emphasized the importance of data integration in supporting national development.

As the guiding institution for statistical data, BPS continues to provide assistance to organizations responsible for statistical activities. One of the key efforts in this initiative is enhancing human resource capacity in the field of statistics to ensure the production of high-quality data. Reliable data leads to well-informed policies and more optimal development. Therefore, it is crucial for BPS, walidata, and data producers at both local and national levels to maintain strong collaboration in achieving high-quality and integrated data.

Through this event, it is hoped that coordination and synergy between institutions will be strengthened, leading to improved data governance. With accurate and trustworthy data, development in Dairi Regency can be implemented more effectively and precisely. Let’s work together to achieve high-quality data for a more advanced Dairi!
